There are certain things that we will like to inform you about the National Youth Service Corps scheme.
First the National Youth Service Corps aims to inculcate the spirit of selfless service to your host communities.
gram seeks to reduce cultural differences among our youth that is why corp members are encouraged to get married to each other so as to narrow the gap between people from different states who have different cultures.
Please note that you might be posted from your comfort zone to area which you are not familiar with. During my time I was posted to Kano state while prior to that time i have never been to the NORTH before.
We also want you to know that while being posted to your host communities you should learn how to accommodate and also respect their culture and customs which is their way of life.
You are also allowed to carry out any project that will be of benefit to the community no matter how little they are.
NYSC Mobilization List 2018/2019–2020
the NYSC mobilization list is a comprehensive list that contains all the names of those whose schools have approved their name for the scheme.
List are approved by schools Senate which is the highest governing body of every institution in our tertiary institutions.
Once this names are compiled they are immediately uploaded into NYSC official portal where they will be made available to prospective Corp members.
nysc senate approved list 2018/2019-2020
This is the same thing as mobilization list.
Like we said above your school Senate must compile a list then sent to the NYSC board for upload.
nysc batch A and B mobilization list- stream 1&2 2018/2019-2020
Due to the fact that thousands of graduates joining the already existing ones on ground, it become impossible for all prospective Corp members to go at once. The NYSC board came up with an idea to split Corp members into batch A and B.
That didn’t even solve the problem at hand, the National Youth Service Corps Board split the list of those going for service into stream 1 or stream 2.
You might ask why all this problem but let’s try to understand that the Federal government always have limited resources on their disposal… So it’s understandable from that point of view.
list of schools that go for nysc
Please note that not all schools are permitted to go for NYSC.
for a school to be allowed to send their students then they must first be accredited by (NUC) National University commission. note only that the department must be accredited too.
Most department and Faculties fails accreditation at times, to my knowledge accredited is done once in 4 years to ensure that requirements are meet. Like quality laboratory, computer, research instruments, class rooms and stuff like that.
Always go through jamb brochure to check if your department is accredited or fails their accreditation.
Can i pay money to be posted to a better place?
Please note that NYSC program is free of charge, you are not meant to pay anyone any money to influence your posting.
Although most people claim they have strong link that could help them secure a good state, at times this could work out while most times they are fraudsters.
Please always be on the watch and always remain clean and pure, like I said I did my service in Kano state and I have not been there before.
So you see, and I can now speak a little of hausa language hahahahahaha. Yes it’s an advantage to me because i can now freely bargain when ever i go to any hausa market around me and once they learnt I know how to speak they sell for me very well.
What about if they post me to a place I don’t like?
Yes it does happen at time, me at first i never wanted to go far north but when i found my self there i made new friends and i have Visted Kano twice ever since because i made new friends.
So. You might never tell an opportunity might wait for you South or North which ever way just hope for the best.
